Polished marble can be slippery when wet. For bathrooms, poolsides, or outdoor areas, we strongly recommend a "honed" or "matte" finish. This provides significantly better grip while maintaining the stone's natural beauty.
It depends on the material. Natural marble should be professionally repolished every 3-5 years to remove micro-scratches and restore its original high-gloss shine. Sintered stone and Granite are much harder and generally do not require repolishing for decades.
Stone flooring installation typically requires 10-15% wastage for cutting and pattern matching. If you choose a complex layout or require "book-matching" (mirroring the veins), wastage may be slightly higher to achieve the perfect aesthetic flow.
Installation time varies by area size. A standard living room typically takes 5-7 days, including leveling, laying the stone, grouting, and the final polish. We will provide a detailed schedule during your consultation.
