Why 2,400+ Malaysian Families Chose Sinno Stone
A stone countertop is more than just a kitchen surface; it's a long-term investment that transforms your entire home. It's the one element that combines stunning aesthetics with practical, everyday function.
While other materials may fade or wear, stone stands the test of time.
It's the centerpiece of your kitchen—where family gathers, meals are prepped, and memories are made.
Here’s why it's the right choice
Built for Malaysian Cooking
Whether you're making rendang, curry, or daily stir-fries with turmeric and chili, quartz stone surfaces resist staining from even the toughest Malaysian ingredients. No more worrying about beetroot juice or curry powder leaving permanent marks.
No Yearly Maintenance Hassles
Unlike granite that needs resealing every 2-3 years (costing RM800-1,200 each time), our quartz and sintered stone options are truly maintenance-free. Just wipe with soap and water—that's it
Built for Malaysian Cooking
After 2,400+ installations, we know which surfaces truly resist turmeric, curry, sambal, and belacan stains, handle direct contact with hot woks, and stay pristine despite daily Malaysian cooking
Transparent Pricing, Zero Hidden Costs
What we quote is what you pay. No surprise charges for 'site conditions' or 'extra cutting.' Free site measurement, detailed written quotes, and honest advice even if it means recommending a cheaper option.

Breaking Down a Typical RM20,000 Kitchen Project
Why Prices Vary So Much
Price varies by more than just square footage. Here are the key factors that influence your final quote.
Material Tier & Brand
The biggest factor. Local quartz starts at RM110/sq ft, while exotic quartzite or rare marble can reach RM300+/sq ft due to scarcity and import costs.
Slab Thickness
12mm slabs are lighter and cheaper but often require plywood sub-top. 20mm slabs are standard and stronger. Thicker slabs cost 30-40% more.
Edge Complexity
Standard edges (Eased, Flat) are often included. Intricate profiles (Ogee, Bullnose) or waterfall designs require more labor and precision.
Cutouts Needed
Every hole for sink, faucet, cooktop, or electrical outlet requires precise CNC machining. Each cutout adds RM150-300 to fabrication costs.
Demolition Work
Removing and disposing of existing countertops is labor-intensive. Price depends on material type, size, and disposal requirements.
Material Waste
Higher material wastage results in higher final price. Complex layouts or international brands with limited slab sizes increase waste.

Frequently asked question
Answers to common questions about selection, care, and installation.
Daily cleaning: Just use warm water with a drop of mild dish soap and a microfiber cloth. That's it. Wipe, rinse, done.
Stubborn stains (curry, turmeric, coffee):
- For quartz: Make a paste with baking soda and water, gently rub, then rinse
- For granite: Use a pH-neutral cleaner specifically made for natural stone
- For sintered stone/porcelain: These are so stain-resistant you can use almost anything, but mild soap works fine
⚠️ Never use: Bleach, vinegar, lemon juice, or abrasive scrubbers on any stone surface. These can damage the resin in quartz or etch natural stone.
Real talk from our customers: Most tell us cleaning takes less time than their old laminate countertops because nothing stains or absorbs. Curry? Wipe it off. Red wine? No problem. Beetroot juice? Gone in seconds.
This confuses everyone because the names sound similar, but they're completely different materials:
Quartz (also called Engineered Quartz):
- Man-made surface: 90-95% crushed natural quartz mixed with resin and pigments
- Consistent colors and patterns (what you see in showroom is what you get)
- Non-porous, never needs sealing
- Lower maintenance, more affordable
- Examples: Caesarstone, Silestone, Moonstone
Quartzite (Natural Stone):
- 100% natural metamorphic rock formed from sandstone
- Unique patterns, every slab is different
- Porous, requires periodic sealing and treatment
- More expensive, looks similar to marble but more durable
- Higher maintenance but stunning natural beauty
Quick decision guide: Want consistent color and zero maintenance? Choose quartz. Want natural, one-of-a-kind patterns and don't mind sealing once a year? Choose quartzite.
Full timeline from order to completion: 7-10 business days
Actual installation day: 4-8 hours depending on kitchen size and complexity
Here's the typical breakdown:
- Day 1: Templating at your home (1-2 hours)
- Days 2-6: Fabrication at our workshop (cutting, edging, polishing)
- Day 7: Installation day (morning arrival, usually done by afternoon)
What happens on installation day:
- We arrive with your countertop ready to install
- Remove old countertop if needed (1-2 hours)
- Install new countertop, apply seam sealer if needed (2-4 hours)
- Install sink and reconnect plumbing (1-2 hours)
- Complete cleanup and final inspection
Can you use your kitchen immediately? Yes! You can start using your countertop right away. We recommend waiting 24 hours before putting heavy weight on seams (if any).
Honest answer: Probably yes, if your kitchen is longer than 10 feet.
Stone slabs come in standard sizes (typically 10 feet long). If your kitchen counter is longer than this, we need to join two slabs together, creating a seam.
How visible are seams?
- On solid colors: Nearly invisible—you have to look very closely to see them
- On patterned/veined materials: More noticeable because we're matching patterns, but we strategically place seams in less obvious locations
- Our installers can join as thin as 1mm—it's a hairline, not a gap
Where we place seams: We strategically position seams in corners, near sinks, or behind cooktops where they're least noticeable. During templating, we discuss exact seam placement with you.
Seamless options: Only possible if your entire countertop is under 10 feet long, or if you choose an L-shaped layout where we can position the slab to avoid seams in the main work area.
Yes, you get TWO warranties:
1. Manufacturer's Warranty (on the material itself):
- Caesarstone & Silestone: 25-year limited warranty
- Dekton (Sintered Stone): 25-year limited warranty
- Local brands (Moonstone, etc.): 10-15 year warranty
- Granite & Quartzite: No manufacturer warranty (natural stone)
2. Our Workmanship Warranty: 10 years on installation
- Covers installation issues, seam failures, or mounting problems
- We fix it free of charge, no questions asked
- This is separate from material defects
What's covered: Manufacturing defects like discolouration, warping, or material breakdown. Installation issues like loose countertops, failing seams, or improper mounting.
What's NOT covered: Damage from misuse (dropping heavy objects, using harsh chemicals), chips from impact, scratches from cutting directly on the surface, or damage from improper cleaning products.
How to make a claim: Just WhatsApp us photos of the issue. We'll assess it within 24 hours and schedule a visit if needed. Most customers who've had issues tell us we responded faster than they expected.
This is a great question—fake premium brands are a real problem in Malaysia.
Here's how to verify authenticity:
1. Ask for the slab number: Every genuine Caesarstone and Dekton slab has a unique identification number printed on the back.
2. Request manufacturer certificate: We provide documentation from the factory showing the batch number and authenticity.
3. Check for official branding: Genuine slabs have the brand name etched or printed on the back—not just a sticker that can be removed.
4. Verify warranty registration: We register your warranty directly with Caesarstone/Dekton using your slab number—fake materials can't be registered.
Red flags to watch for: Suppliers who can't show you the slab before cutting, won't provide slab numbers, offer Caesarstone at suspiciously low prices (50%+ below market rate), or can't provide manufacturer documentation.
Absolutely! We actually recommend it.
Option 1: Visit our showroom
- See full-size slabs (not just small samples)
- Compare colours side-by-side
- Feel the texture and finish differences
- View materials under different lighting
- No appointment needed, but booking ahead ensures we have time to focus on you
Option 2: Sample kit delivered to your home
- We can bring 6-8 samples to your home
- See how colours look in YOUR kitchen's lighting (this is crucial!)
- RM100 refundable deposit (returned when you return samples)
- Keep samples for up to 1 week to decide
Why this matters: Colours look completely different under showroom lights versus natural daylight in your kitchen. We've had customers choose a colour in our showroom only to realize it looks too dark/bright/warm in their actual space. That's why we encourage viewing samples in your kitchen before committing.
After you choose a colour: Before we cut anything, we show you the actual slab we'll be using for your project. You can approve or switch to a different slab from the same colour family.
Templating is the commitment point—here's what you need to know:
BEFORE templating: You can change your mind freely about material, colour, edge profile—anything. No charges, no pressure.
AFTER templating: We've already ordered your specific slab and created your custom template. At this point:
- Changing material or colour may incur restocking fees (varies by supplier)
- Minor changes to edge profile or cutout locations are usually free
- Cancelling the order entirely may result in losing your deposit
We're very clear about this before templating: We'll walk you through exactly what happens after templating, show you the specific slab we're ordering, and make sure you're 100% confident before we proceed. We'd rather you take an extra week to decide than rush and regret it later.
Real scenario: If you realize after templating that you want to add an extra cutout or adjust the backsplash height—no problem, usually no extra charge. But switching from Caesarstone to Dekton after templating means we've already ordered the wrong material, so there may be costs involved.
Our advice: Take your time before templating. Visit the showroom twice if you need to. Sleep on the decision. We've been doing this for 12+ years—rushing never leads to happy customers.
